- Madeleine, there’s someone in your office.
- Who’s? – Pergunta, admirada.
- Today is the interviews day, didn’t you remember?
- No! Really? I completely… Geez, I forgot! See you later, Mrs Scavo, I have a lot of work to do.
- Good morning. I’m sorry. I’m Dr. Vilaça.
- Hello.
- So, let’s talk about you. Where did you study?
- I must say I’m very happy with all of you but I only get to choose one. So congratulations, Dr. May Cooper. Come with me, I’ll introduce you everybody.
- Ok, Dr. May, this is Mrs Scavo, she’s an excellent nurse. I bet you’ll enjoy to work with her… - Diz, sorrindo para Mrs Scavo.
- Hi. Nice to meet you, darling. – Cumprimenta Mrs Scavo.
- Oh, there’s our chief. Let me introduce him… Dr. James, this is…
- James!
- May? I can’t believe. What are you doing here? – Pergunta James, bastante admirado.
- I work here! It’s my first day, James. Are you happy to see me?
- I didn’t expect. Wow. Now you are a doctor… I can’t believe.
- Yes, you inspired me to become a doctor like you. Oh, I can’t believe we will work in the same building. It’s like a dream, don’t you think? Are you happy to see me?
- Mrs Scavo, please show Dr May where the changing room is. – Pediu Madalena.
- Who hired her?!?! My god, she’s such… errrr… Oh, I know… I bet it was Dr. Sanchez who hired May… That woman drives me crazy… God.
- Uh… Right… You know… Uhh… - Começa Madalena.
- What? No! No… You?! Madalena! What were you thinking?
- What do you want me to say, James? May is adorable! She seems to be a good doctor and she was an excellent student! Of course I hired her! I’m glad I have someone like her working with me… Anyway, you two seem to be good friends, what seems to be the problem?
- Good friends?! She’s my sister’s friend! I met her when she had fourteen years old and since that day she never left me alone. She likes me. What can I do? – Pergunta James, sorrindo. – Anyway, I just can’t stand her anymore. She’s a nice girl but I have my own limits, you know.
- Sister? You never told me.
- Yes, Sarah. She’s five years younger than me…
- Wait! Sarah Cavanaugh? The Sarah Cavanaugh? No way! Is she your sister? – Pergunta, admirada. – I just love her work! She’s such a great writer.
- Yeah, I have a famous sister.
- Wow. I never thought…
- What do you want, Kev? – Pergunta Madalena, um pouco fria.
- I just want to tell you… Jane was born last night.
- Jane? I thought you were going to name her Bailie or Blanche…
- We were… But when Savannah saw her in her arms she named her Jane and I liked it. She’s has green eyes. She’s cute… Do you… Do you want to see her?
- No… No. Best wishes for you and your new family and… Congratulations, Kevin. I’m happy for you. I have to go now!
- Ok, I guess I see you later.

runaway

bells of freedom

Olhas a todos mas evitas olhar-me e ver-me. E tu sentes-me. E com o teu beijo, tu mostras-me o quanto me amas.

story of my life
A mim acontece-me muitas vezes isto.

Take seventeen
- Seven sharp. Very well, I’m impressed.
- Oh! Thanks chief. – agradeceu ainda um pouco surpreendida.
- Please, let the “chief” out of that door.
- I’m sorry. James it is.
- Deal. Come in. Lets make our dinner.
- I mean, I’ll teach you how to do it.
- I’m a very good cooker, you know.
- I don’t doubt it but I am pretty sure you don’t know my secret recipe.
O jantar estava feito e a mesa posta.
- Excuse me, J.
Atendeu o telefone e ouviu:
- It’s a friend of mine, from Portugal. I invited her to work in the Clinic with me. She was about to tell me if she decided to come here or stay there but her kid interrupted us. – disse-lhe.
- Who’s she? – perguntou James, curioso.
- Inês. We’ve know each since we were 14 years old.
- Gee. I wish I’ve met you in that age. – disse, fazendo um sorriso provocador.
- Oh, you wouldn’t, trust me. – assegurou-o, sorrindo também.
- Madalena? Estás aí?
- Sim, sim Inês. Conta lá.
- Nós vamos! Nós vamos!
- AH!

surprise, surprise, surprise
«People I know, places I go,
make me feel tongue tied.
I can see how people look down,
they are on the inside.
Here's where the story ends.
People I see, weary of me, showing their good side,
and I can see how people look down.
I'm on the outside.
Here's where the story ends,
Oh, here's where the story ends.
It's that little souvenir of a terrible year,
which makes my eyes feel sore.
And I never should of said,
the books that you read were all I loved you for.
It's that little souvenir of a terrible year,
which makes me wonder why.
It's the memorys of the shed, that made me turn red.
Surprise, surprise, surprise»

Take sixteen
- How is our baby, honey? – Pergunta Kevin.
- She’s great. Dr Madalena was saying that she can’t move so we are going to be parents today.
- Really? 24 February 2008, it’s a good day to be born.
- Madalena!
- I don’t want to talk to you, just leave me alone. – Pediu Madalena.
- Please, let me talk to you!
Entraram no escritório de Madalena.
- She’s eight months pregnant and you didn’t tell me… - Diz Madalena, começando a chorar.
- That’s why I didn’t tell you!
- You married her last year and she’s is now eight months pregnant?! You have no respect for me nor for what happened to us and you have no respect at all for your wife as you told me last week you still have feelings for me!
- I love Savannah. But I still love you.
Ele aproximou-se e abraçou-a com força, como costumava fazer. Madalena começa a chorar.
- Did you already forget what happened to us? How could you ignore and move on? How could you? – Pergunta Madalena.
- No! I’ll never forget it, Madalena. I’m so sorry… I should have been there for you and I just left. I couldn’t live with that. It was too hard and still is.
- Don’t you think it is hard for me too?
- I know it is!
- Losing… - Começa a chorar.
- Honey, we lost our child and that’s too painful. It was hard for both and every time I saw you, I remember our girl. I remember when she was born and how happy you were. That happiness faded away and I couldn’t stand that. I’m sorry!
- We could try again and instead you just left me alone. I will never forgive you, Kevin. I won’t.
- I think you should talk to Dr. Madeleine. She’s crying over there. – Diz o empregado, apontando.
What happened?
– I miss her so much! Oh, my god, I miss her a lot! – Começa a chorar.
- Who is she? – Pergunta James, confuso.
- She is… - Diz, soluçando. – She was my child, my baby girl. I miss her. James, why this happened to me?
- What happened?! Madalena, please, stop crying. Please.
- Kevin and I had a child. Her name was Leigh Tyler, she was born on April 26 of 2006. Early that day, Kevin proposed me and when I said yes my waters broke. She died. She was five months old. She had pneumonia. I lost her! It’s so hard to live without her and she was just a baby. I’m a doctor, Kevin is a doctor too and neither of us could save her!
- Madalena… Madalena, it is not your fault, neither is Kevin fault. Don’t be too harsh on yourself. I never knew Kevin had a child, he never told me.
- I can’t stop thinking about Leigh. She was so perfect. I was so happy. Finally I had a happy family and a nice job. It was my dream. Now, Kevin is going to be a father.
James sentou-se na cadeira ao lado dela. Olhou-a nos olhos.
- I’m sure Leigh was perfect. You are a perfect woman, Madalena.
Abraçaram-se com força.
- Thanks, James. You have been such a good friend to me.
- De nada, Madalena. – Diz James, fazendo um pequeno sorriso. – What do you say about having dinner in my place?
- Ooh, I don’t want to, James, I’m sorry. I just want this day to be over.
- Come on, I’ll make our dinner, I promise.
- And do you know how to cook? – Pergunta Madalena, com um pequeno sorriso.
- Of course! I love cooking and everyone loves my meals! You won’t regret.
- Okay. What time?
- Be there at 7 p.m so you can learn how to make such a good meal. Deal?
- Deal, James. – Madalena olha para o pager. – I need to go downstairs, duty calls me.
- I’ll go with you.
- How is our baby, honey? – Pergunta Kevin.
- She’s great. Dr Madalena was saying that she can’t move so we are going to be parents today.

- Kevin, Madalena. Wake up.
- I’m sorry. – continuou – We’ve done everything we could. I’m so sorry.
- What happened? – perguntou Kevin, controlando-se.
- She was too sick and weak. We tried everything we could, Kevin. I’m sorry. I feel like I failed with you two…
- Nelson, don’t you feel that! We know… We know you’ve done the impossible. Thank you for that. Really.
- Can I see her? – perguntou Madalena.
- «What though the radiance which was once so bright
Be now for ever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower;
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind;
In the primal sympathy
Which having been must ever be;
In the soothing thoughts that spring
Out of human suffering;
In the faith that looks through death,
In years that bring the philosophic mind.»
- Kevin, Madalena. Wake up.

Take fifteen
- Hold the elevator, please. – Gritou Madalena.
- Good morning, Madalena! – Diz James.
- You are so happy today! What happened?
- I’m glad to work here, this hospital brings me good memories, I think.
- Ooh, do you know what I just realised? – Pergunta Madalena.
- Nooo, what?
- Do you still remember… Perhaps you don’t, it was like six years ago! One day, you met Kirsten, Kevin’s sister… Do you remember that day?
- Yes! Of course! It was downstairs, in the lobby… How do you know about Kirsten?
- I’m her friend and I was with her when you two meet. I was the other girl.
- No! Really?! You look so different now… Wait a minute… So, we have been introduced three times already? – Diz, sorrindo.
- How is that possible, right? – Pergunta Madalena.
- Hmm, it’s fate… Who knows? – Diz, piscando o olho.
- Wait… Did you were Kirsten’s boyfriend?
- Yes, we dated for almost two years. Did she talk about me?
- Oh my god! Yes, yes! She did! She talked about you so much… Two years? God, I can’t believe I never saw you two together! I didn’t see you in that dinner we did last year, were you there?
- No, no. I was in California at that time, there was an emergency and I had been call to do a surgery. Kirsten told me it was such a great dinner, this year I’ll go, I promise. – Diz James.
- I think it is in June 24, I’m not sure. I don’t know if I can make it, will see.
- Oh, Madalena, I can’t believe you dated Kevin! I remember I told him you were way too cute for him. Why did you two break up anyway? – Pergunta, curioso.
- Long story… One day I’ll tell you. Not today, not now. Okay?
- Okay, I’m sorry.
A porta do elevador abre.
- I’ll see you later, James. Good day.
- Have a nice day, Madalena.
Mrs. Scavo vê a Madalena de longe e grita: - Madeleine, there’s a pregnant woman with a lot of pain.
- Give me her file and page Dr. Harrington right away. – Pediu Madalena.
Mrs Scavo entrega-lhe a ficha da paciente. – She’s in room four.
- Savannah Harlow-Walker?! – Pergunta Madalena, assustada.
- Do you know who she is?
- Page Dr. Kevin Walker immediately, she’s his wife. – Diz Madalena, dirigindo-se à sala.
Pousou a mão na maçaneta e respirou fundo. Entrou.
- Good morning. I’m Dr. Vilaça, call me Madeleine. Wow! You are very pregnant!
Savannah ri-se. – Yes! I’m almost eight months pregnant… This morning I felt weird and the baby doesn’t move. I’m afraid there’s something wrong.
- Be calm, Savannah. Let me check. – Madalena toca-lhe na barriga, sentindo o bebé. – I’m going to do an ultrasound, so we can see the baby’s heartbeat. How old are you right now?
Madalena liga a máquina e começa o exame.
- I’m almost twenty-five. I didn’t want to have a baby too young and so soon but my husband Kevin wanted to have a child so much! He was so excited when I showed him my pregnancy test. And now, this baby is my life! She’s means everything to me.. She’s beautiful, isn’t she?
- Oh, it is a girl! She’s cute! Does she have a name already? – Pergunta Madalena, curiosa.
- Yes! I mean, not yet… I want to name her after my mother Blanche but Kevin doesn’t like it, he wants to name her Bailie.
- Bailie is cute! Your baby girl has no space to move now, that’s why you don’t feel her. I think today you are going to be a mum, Savannah. – Diz, fazendo um sorriso forçado.
- Hold the elevator, please. – Gritou Madalena.
- Good morning, Madalena! – Diz James.

waiting on the world to change
«Me and all my friends
We're all misunderstood
They say we stand for nothing and
There's no way we ever could
Now we see everything that's going wrong.
With the world and those who lead it
We just feel like we don't have the means
To rise above and beat it
So we keep waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change.
It's hard to beat the system
When we're standing at a distance
So we keep waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
Now if we had the power
To bring our neighbors home from war
They would have never missed a Christmas
No more ribbons on their door.
And when you trust your television
What you get is what you got
Cause when they own the information, oh
They can bend it all they want.
It's not that we don't care,
We just know that the fight ain't fair
So we keep on waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
And we're still waiting.»

- What happened, Madeleine? – Perguntou Mrs Scavo, preocupada.
- I just want to be alone right now! I need to be alone.
- But why are you crying, dear? Please talk to me.
- Kirsten, right? - perguntou Madalena, ainda um pouco envergonhada.
- Yes! And you are…
- Madalena! You can call me Madeleine. I’m Portuguese.
- Nice to meet you! You are the first person I know today, I don’t know anyone here… I’m so nervous! It is our very first day here… Aren’t you exciting? Have you already met someone?
- No, I don’t know any single person here in the US. It’s sad, I know… I only leave Portugal last week, it’s hard to be so far away with no friends! You don’t know anyone here? What about the boy who was talking to you? - perguntou a Portuguesa.
- Oh! That is my brother Kevin. I’ll introduce him to you and you can make one more friend today! – Voltou-se e gritou. – Kevin!! Come here.
- I’m here, Kirsten. – Disse, Kevin, sorrindo.
- I want to introduce Madeleine, she’s a Portuguese student and she’s going to work here with us.
- Hi, Madeleine.
- Hello, Kevin. Nice to meet you!
- Well, Kirsten, I want to introduce a friend of mine who is totally in love with you. – Disse, dando uma gargalhada. – Jimmy! Jimmy, this is my sister Kirsten and Kirsten, this is Jimmy. Oh, and this is Madaleine.
- Hi Kirsten. Hi Madeleine.
- Kevin, I really think I’m in love with your sister… She’s more beautiful now than… Are you listening? - questionou Jimmy.
- Ah? I’m sorry.. That girl… God, Madeleine is cute! I’m telling you… One day that girl will be my girlfriend! I swear to you, Jimmy!
- Keep dreaming… She’s way too cute for you, my friend!
- I just want to be alone right now! I need to be alone.
- But why are you crying, dear? Please talk to me.

- How do I say your name in Portuguese?
- Madalena. Why Kevin?
- Madalena, I think I am in love with you. - declarou-se.
- I’m speechless… I’m never speechless!
- What do you feel about me?
- I love you too since the day I met you, Kevin!
- Do you? Why didn’t you tell me?
- We only know each other for seven months and we are always here working… I don’t see how this…
Kevin beijou-a. Um beijo rápido.
- This will definitely work! – Prometeu Kevin, sorrindo.
Madalena beijou-o.

- Madeleine! Dear, wake up! It’s almost five a.m., your shift is over… Go home and get some sleep. - aconselhou Mrs. Scavo.
- What? Where am I?
- You’re in the Hospital. You fell asleep… Come on, get up and go home. Tomorrow you don’t work here.
- Mrs. Scavo, I think I met James… - disse Madalena, sonolenta.
- Of course you know him! He’s your chief, dear. – sorriu.

Take thirteen (Sofia e Sara)
- Meu deus! Estás a falar a sério? A sério?
- Madeleine! You need to sign these documents, dear.
- Since when does Kevin knows James? - Pergunta Madalena.
Mrs. Scavo sorriu. - And since when we call James to Dr. Cavanaugh?
- Kevin. Good morning.
- Madalena, take a seat. Do you already know who the new chief is? – Perguntou Kevin.
- Yes. Dr Cavanaugh.
- So, what do you think about that?
- What do you want me to say, Kevin? I don’t know Dr Cavanaugh professionally…
- But you two know each other personally, right?
- So what?
- I’m sorry… I don’t know how to ask this so I am just going to ask… What is going on between you two?
- Excuse me? Nothing is going on between us!
- Nothing? I see the way you look at him!
- What are you trying to say anyway?
- Do you like him?
- I don’t see what you have to do with this and…
- He is your chief! This is your workplace!
Madalena soltou uma gargalhada e acrescentou: - That didn’t stop us a few years ago.
- It was five years ago and we were young and immature!
- I can’t understand how this affects you or your job, Kevin.
- It doesn’t affect me! – Afirmou Kevin, um pouco atrapalhado.
- Are you done? Can I go now?
- Wait, Madalena… I am sorry. The truth is I am jealous. He is a friend of mine and you were my girlfriend… I think I still have feelings for you.
- Do you still have feelings for me? You must be joking with me! Did you have those feelings in the day you broke up with me and get marry to her, Dr. Walker?!

Take twelve
- Dr Madalena, I'm here to give you my resignation letter.
- Why? What happened?
- Nothing, nothing, don't worry. It's just that my wife got a job in NYC so we have to move. Of course, I will continue to work here until you find somebody else. Of course.
- It's nice to know that because I didn't expect this. When do you move?
- In two weeks.
- Very well, though. Do you need a recommendation letter?
- Thanks but no thanks, Dr.
- Thank you.
- Sim, sim. Podias tratar-me disso rápido?
Mrs Addison Chase? Please, lets go.
Podes falar ? Preciso de falar contigo.
- Claro, Madalena. Tudo bem contigo?
-Sim, tudo óptimo por cá. E por aí? Os miúdos, estão bem?
- Ohh, o Miguel ficou doente... varicela.
- Que chatice...
- Pois é, a minha sorte é ele ter o melhor pai do mundo. - disse sem nenhuma ponta de ironia. E acrescentou: Então conta lá, porque telefonas?
- Tenho assim uma big proposta para ti!
- Conta, conta.
- Sempre te especializaste em gestão hospitalar, certo?
- Siiiiiim...
- perguntou.
- Bom dia, Dra Vilaça. Sim, hoje tem a manhã cheia.

Take eleven ( by Sara )
Saíram do restaurante duas horas depois.
- I have to go to my grandparents' house. Can you leave me there?
- Of course. Where is it?
- Villa Anna Street.
(...)
- Stop in front of that yellow house. That’s it.
- Is this your grandparents' house?
- Yes!
Saíram do carro. James não queria acreditar.
- For how long?
- Since I am five! I spent all my summer breaks in that yellow house. It is huge and it has a swimming pool in the backyard. I remember one summer… My grandma gave one huge party to celebrate our family. We were fifteen kids, sixteen adults and both of my grandparents. Then we invited our neighbours. God, I never saw so many people together in just one place… It was the best summer ever.
- Was it in the summer of ’87?
Madalena fitou-o, confusa.
- Yes… How did you know?
- Do you have anyone in your family named Matilde?
- Yeesss, my cousin is Matilde… Do you know her?
- Do you know who her boyfriend is?
- Of course. It’s Drew.
- Andrew is my brother! – Disse James.
Madalena ficou confusa e pensativa.
- If Andrew is your brother, you are JC. Oh god, are you?!
James sorriu.
- Yes, James Cavanaugh, JC. Do you remember me?
- Oh MY GOD! It’s really you! I cannot believe! Of course, I remember you… I kissed you in that summer behind…
- Behind that huge tree so your family couldn’t see us! – Completou James, sorrindo. – Miley?
- Yes! I’m Miley… My uncle started to call me that because he couldn’t pronounce my name. So, I believe your brother is inside with my cousin and my grandparents. It’s a small party. Do you want to come in? – Convidou Madalena.
- Uhh, like a date? – Deu uma gargalhada. – I’m kidding! Of course, lets go then.
- Madalena, minha querida neta! Dá cá um grande abraço. – Cumprimentou a avó.
– James, this are my grandparents.
- Hello. – Cumprimentou James, um pouco envergonhado.
- Oh boy, you do not need to be shy… And please, come in. – Convidando-os a entrar.
- Avó e avô, sejam simpáticos porque ele é também o meu novo chefe no Hospital. – Disse, dando uma gargalhada para o James.
- You didn’t understand a word, right? – Perguntou Madalena.
- What did you say, Madalena? Oh, you are not going to say, are you? You’re so mean!
Madalena ficou confusa e pensativa.

i want you
when i'm with you
i start to feel crazy inside
and no matter what i do
i surely can't hide
from you.
you make me feel strong and weak
and this feeling lasts all week
it is so sweet and sublime
i love and hate at the same time.
in my dreams you're mine
and it just feels so right
but when i wake up i realise
you are nothing but a sight.
i try to avoid the tears somehow
but i just want to cry right now
i don't know what to do
i just know i love you.
i start to feel crazy inside
and no matter what i do
i surely can't hide
from you.
you make me feel strong and weak

i don't know what to do
i just know i love you.
breakout
please don't beg and implore
i can't stand you anymore
please don't make me ignore
and put you outdoor.
please stop being always there
i really need to breathe some air
you don't think it's fair?
well i wasn't the one who had an affair.
if i have to talk to you i'll meet you somewhere
in my house don't you dare.
don't talk about the day we met
all the sweeties and the sunset
i just haven't forget it yet
but someday i will. wanna bet?
i just need you to stay away
because i can't forgive so quickly as they
i can't see you tonight, it's just been a day.
and i need you to pay for this game you've been play
please don't say a word today
i'll meet you on tuesday, ok?
i regret i met you half of the time
oh my god, i wanted to spend with you a lifetime
if for all these thoughts i had a dime
i would be more rich as I'm.
i want you to stop beg and please
come on, i don't want to see you on your knees
you can stop making up stories
i have already hear theses
you know i am nothing like she's
i can't stand you anymore
please don't make me ignore
and put you outdoor.

Take ten ( by Sara )
- So? Do you have dinner with me? Tonight? - pergunta James.
- Are you asking me on a date?! You are unbelievable, Dr. Cavanaugh! - exclama Madalena.
- No! Lets say it is a work dinner. I need to discuss with you a case. It’s a little boy’s case. – Diz com cara de sério.
- Work dinner? Seriously? – Ela fita-o. – Seriously?
- I swear! When does your shift ends?
- I’m finish by 7:30pm.
- I’ll meet you at the lobby at 8pm.
- Deal! – Diz Madalena, virando-se. – Mrs. Scavo, the next patient, please.
Às 20h30, na entrada do Hospital.
- James, I am sorry I am late. I didn’t find my shoes! I am ready we can go now. Why are you looking at me that way? Do I have something in my face?
- No, no… - Diz, sorrindo. – You’re just… Never mind, let’s go!
No restaurante.
- Good night. We have a reservation.
- Name, please.
- Cavanaugh.
- Okay. Mr. and Mrs. Cavanaugh, your table is number ten. It’s over there.
- Mrs. Cavanaugh?! She cannot say that if she doesn’t…
- What do you care about what she thinks anyway? – Diz, sorrindo.
- Oooh, you are pleased! You wish! – Diz, sorrindo para ele.
Eles sentam-se à mesa, frente a frente.
- May I say something?
- You are going to say anyway… - Ela ri-se. - Tell me.
- Tonight… You look stunning! You look great in light green… Match your eyes.
- Wow! Thanks, Dr. Cavanaugh.
- James.
- Ok, James. You didn’t tell me how do you know how to speak Portuguese. I’m curious.
- Oh, my brother’s girlfriend is Portuguese and she taught me a little… Sometimes we only talk in Portuguese to each other… People couldn’t understand what we were saying but now I can’t remember some words. You should hear my brother he seems Portuguese.
- And now let’s talk about that case. - Sugere Madalena.
- Sure.

Take nine
- You?
- You seem surprised. Why are you surprised?
- Ahhh.. Because.. Because I didn't even know you were a doctor, Dr James Cavanaugh.
- You can call me chief. - sugeriu, provocando-a.
- So, do you want to show me the Hospital? I haven't seen much of it.
- Ah, sure, of course. Have you met the staff, I mean, the other doctors and nurses? I can introduce you... Do you want? - perguntou Madalena.
- I know a few doctors here but yes, I want it, anyway. Thanks, Madalena.
- You can call me Dr Vilaça, chief.
- Well done, well done.
- Mrs Scavo, this is Chief James Cavanaugh.
- Nice to finally meet the new chief, Dr.
- He's too cute to be chief, don't you think so?
- What, Madalena? You have to talk a little bit louder so I can hear you, sweetheart.
- Nothing nothing. Lets go back to work.
- Congratulations, Dr Bran...

Take eight
O avião aterrou no aeroporto Francisco Sá Carneiro à hora prevista. A Sara, a Inês, o Tomás, o Diogo e o Gonçalo.
- Welcome to Portugal, amiga.
- perguntou a Sara.
- Claro que sim. Penso em vocês todos os dias e hoje fizeram-me a mulher mais feliz por terem vindo buscar-me. Vamos onde?
- respondeu a Inês.
- Mrs Scavo, it's so nice to see you again. - disse Madalena.
- Madaleine, how was the holidays?
- Fantastic! I've been with my mother and my friends, in Portugal.
- Good, good. So, do you want to hear the news?
- Of course, shoot!
- The new chief has been choosen.

Take seven
- Come on, Madie. I'm sure Sylvia would love to see you again and the kids too.
- Ok, I'll go. I miss them too. What time?
- Eight sharp.

Take six
- Had you already hear? - perguntou Mrs Scavo.
- No. What? Tell me.
- The chief is going to retire.
- Really? - questionou, admirada. - Who's going to be the next chief?
E antes de deixar Mrs Scavo responder, acrescentou logo:
- Oh my god! Of course! Dr Brandau. Of course! I have to talk to him. I'll be right back, dear.
- Ok, Dr.
- Dr.
- Do you know?
- Sure. I've been told this morning. Chief told me, actually.
- Uhhh. That's good, isn't it? This is your dream come true.
- Lets hope I got the job, Madaleine.
- Lets hope you got the job? Please! Who else?
- Ohhh, you're right. You are absolutely right. Who else? It will me mine. - afirmou, muito confiante, piscando-lhe o olho.
O pager do Dr Brandau tocou e disse: - I have to hurry. See you later?
- Sure.

everybody's broken
Don't leave me there by myself
Because there's just no onelse
Please, please stop playing this stupid game
Why don't you just say my name?
I really need you tonight, tonight
Please, please let's make this right
You really hurt my heart
I think it fell apart.
I even imagined you down on one knee
Loving the person I wanted to be
But none of that was true
Because I never had you.
Oh I'm so confused and insecure
I need you to make me sure
That we were never meant to be
Because I simply can't see.
